Tyrrell County Court of Pleas & Quarter Sessions
November Session 1778
It is the opinion of this court that Edward Hassell be allowed the sum of thirty pounds for servises in nursing and buriing a certain John Allin.
Ordered that Edward Hassell take into his hands all the estate of John Allen deceased and expose to sale the articles of said estate & make returns to next court.
February Sesion 1779
Mr. Joseph Spruill Junr. exhibited the accounts of John Allen deceased in court & there appears to be a ballance in his hands of 16 pounds & 8 shillings.
April Session 1779
Ordered that Joseph Spruill Esqr. pay the sum of fourteen pounds money in his hands the ballance of the estate of John Allen deceased unto Sarah Norman the heir.
