In the name of God amen: The tenth day of February in the year of our Lord 1758 I Anthoney Alexander of North Carolina in Tyrrel County gentelman being very sick and weak in body but of perfect mind and memory thanks be given unto God therefore calling unto mind the mortality of my body and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament that is to say principally and first of all I give and recommend my soul into the hands of God that gave it and for my body I recommend it to the earth to be buried in Christian like decent manner at the durection of my executors not doubting but at the General Resurrection I shall receive the same again by the mighty power of God and as touching such worldly estate where with it hath pleased God to bless me with in this life I give devise and dispose of the same in the following manner and form.

First - I give and bequeath to my well beloved son Anthoney Alexander the manner plantation and the land belonging thereto not turning the two single girls Elizabeth and Sarah as long as they list to keepe house and live single not taking from them the ax or hooes and all the rest of my lands and tennements where ever to be found I give to my son Anthoney likewise I give and bequeath to my son Anthoney all my carpenters tools coopers tools and showmakers tools and my great connow and sales and one hand mill.

Item - I give to my grandson Anthoney Alexander my hunting gun.

Item - I give to my daughters Elizabeth and Sarah my small connow.

Item - I give to my daughter Elizabeth one beed and furniture and one linen wheele.

Item - I give to my daughter Sarah one beed and furniture and one iron pot and pot hooks.

Item - I give to my daughter Ester Hopkins one beed and furniture and one iron pot.

Item - I give to my daughter Elizabeth one iron pot and pot hook and one iron tramel.

Item - I give to my daughter Mary Jennet one iron pot and pot hook and one iron tramel.

Item - I give to my daughter Sarah one linen wheele and one cow yearling and one mair.

Item - I give to my daughter Mary Jennet one cow.

Item - I give to my daughter Ann Roe ? one shillin.

Item - I give and bequeath all the rest of my house hold goods and chattells to my daughters Elizabeth and Mary and Sarah and Ester to be equally divide by two free holders this being my last will and testament in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year above written. I do appoint my son Anthoney my sole executor of this.

September Session 1758

Anthoney Alexander exhibited the will of Anthoney Alexander deceased and proved the same by the oath of John Alexander subscribing evedence.

Anthoney Alexander exhibited an inventory of all and singular the goods and chattells of Anthoney Alexander deceased & proved the same on his oath.

Then Anthoney Alexander qualified executor of the last will and testament of Anthoney Alexander deceased by take the oath by law appointed.

On motion of Anthoney Alexander praying leave to sell part of the estate of Anthoney Alexander deceased to pay debts and charges ordered granted.
