Tyrrell County Court of Pleas & Quarter Sessions
January Session 1819
Administration on the estate of David Alexander was committed to Lucy (?) Alexander widow of said deceased who entered into bond in the sum of one thousand pounds ordered that letters of administration issue thereon & that she proceed to sell the perishable estate of said deceased agreeable to law & account for the same as the law directs.
Ordered that Selby Patrick Esqr. Henry Alexander Lemuel Basnight & Frederick Alexander lay off to Lucy (?) Alexander widdow of David Alexander one years provisions out of the estate of said deceased agreeable to act of assembly & make return to next term.
April Session 1819
Inventory & account sales of the estate of David Alexander was returned to court on oath by the administratrix & filed.
The years provision of Lucy Alexander was returned to court & filed.
October Session 1821
Ordered that Frederick Alexander Thomas Leigh and Joseph McCleese be appointed to audite & settle the accounts of David Alexander deceased with his administrator & make report to the next term.
January Session 1822
Report of auditors on the estate of David Alexander was returned in open court with a ballance due the estate of $90.29 & filed.
April Session 1823
Ordered that Luraney Alexander be allowed forty eight dollars for board & clothing Robert Alexander orphan of David Alexander one year up to January 1823 as per account allowed by the court & filed.
July Session 1826
Ordered that John Alexander (Capt.) be appointed guardian to Robert Alexander orphan of David Alexander and gave for securities John Roughton & Pledger Melson in the sum five hundred dollars.
Ordered that Thomas Alexander be appointed guardian to Mary Alexander orphan of Lourania Alexander.

Bond dated 11 Jan 1819 in the amount of two thousand dollars appointing Lewcy Alexander administratrix of the estate of David Alexander deceased, Thos. Hopkins & Frederick Alexander securities.
Account of the sale of the property of David Alexander deceased by the administratrix on 26 Jan 1819. There are 65 purchases by the widow.
