Transcriber's Notes:
Tyrrell County marriage bonds show the marriage of Frederick Alexander to Susanah Dillin on 7 Sep 1812, James Dillin Jr. security; also Fedrick Alexander to Ollef Pledger on 2 Apr 1821, John Alexander security; also Nelson Alexander to Assenith Hunnings on 15 Jul 1840, H. G. Spruill security; also William Melson to Olive Alexander on 12 Nov 1824, Pledger Melson security.
Alexander Dillen, guardian of Nelson and John Alexander, appears to be a brother of Susanah Dillen and Abraham Pledger, administrator of the estate, appears to be a brother of Olive (Pledger) Alexander.
The petition of October term 1827 shows that Clarkey Alexander has died and it also indicates that Olive Melson is now deceased and that she had two children, James & Mary Melson, while married to William Melson, who, as half siblings, presumably became heirs of Frederick Alexander as well.
