Tyrrell County Court of Pleas & Quarter Sessions
October Session 1818
Ordered that the sheriff summon a lawful jury to go on the premises of Elisha Belanga deceased and lay off to the widow of said deceased her dower in the lands of said deceased agreeable to law & make return to the next term.

Petition July term 1818 by Mary Belanga widow & relict of Elisha Belanga deceased who died intestate in 1816 seized of a 50 acre tract of land adjoining Sarah Padget and others and another tract of one hundred acres, one third of which she is entitled to as dower. She prays the court will order the sheriff to summon a jury to lay off her dower according to law.
