Tyrrell County Court of Pleas & Quarter Sessions
October Session 1779
Hannah Blount appeared in open court and prayed administration on the estate of John Blount deceased granted and gave in security John Swain Esqr. & Thos. Blackstone in a bond of 1,500 pounds current money of this state.
Hannah Blount appeared in open court and quallified as administratrix to the estate of John Blount and likewise returned an inventory on oath of sd. estate.

Order to the Sheriff dated 5 Oct 1787 and issued 12 Nov 1787 to obtain 4 pounds, 16 shillings & 9 pence from the estate of John Blount deceased which Jean Blair, surviving partner of Andrew Knox & Company, recovered against Hannah Blount, administratrix of Jno. Blount.
Several more orders on subsequent dates, the Sheriff saying nothing found.
