In the name of God amen: I Elizabeth Brickhouse of said State and County, being of sound mind and memory (blessed be God for the same) do this day make and publish this my last will and testament in manner following that is to say.
1st - I lend to my beloved daughter Sarah Webster one negro woman named Fillis: also one mare and saddle and bridle during her natural life at the discretion of my executors hereafter named -
2 - I give and bequeath to my son Benjamin Brickhouse five head of sheep and one falling table of black walnut to him and his heirs forever - 3 - I give and bequeath to my grand daughter Elizabeth Brickhouse daughter of Benj. Brickhouse my son one cow and calf to her and her heirs forever - 4 - I give and bequeath to my grand daughter Elizabeth Brickhouse daughter of John Brickhouse my son one bead & furniture to her and her heirs forever - 5th- I give and bequeath to my grand daughter Sharlotte Brickhouse daughter of Major Brickhouse one bed and furniture to her and her heirs forever 6th - And lastly, my will and desire is that all the residue of my estate that is not given or lent to be sold at a credit of six months and the money arising from the sale to be equally divided amongst all my children that is now alive to them and their heirs forever - And I hereby make and ordain my sons Benj, an John Brickhouse excutors of this my last will and testament - In witness whereof I the said Elizabeth Brickhouse have hereto set my hand and seal the 28 Sept 1829 -

thereto who swore that she was of sound disposing mind and memory & that she done it freely of her own accord.
At the same time came Benj. Brickhouse one of the executors therein named and qualified to said will in due form of law.
October Session 1832
Benjn. Brickhouse executor of Elizabeth Brickhouse deceased returned an inventoty of the property of said deceased & qualified to same.
Benjn. Brickhouse executor of Elizabeth Brickhouse deceased returned the account of sales of said deceased's estate on oath.
January Session 1833
Ordered that Jno. Alexander, George H. Alexander & Enoch Hassell audite & settle the estate of Elizabeth Brickhouse deceased.
April Session 1833
Enoch Hassell returned into court the audited account of Elizabeth Brickhouse deceased.
Transcriber's Notes:
An 1842 petition in the 1828 estate papers of William Brickhouse states that his wife Eliza is dead and her executor is Benjamin Brickhouse.
