This l3th day of August 1858. I John M. Brickhouse of the State and County aforesaid being of sound mind and memmory but considering the uncertainty of my earthly existence do make and declare this my last will and testament in manner and form following that is to say I lend to George Brickhouse my son the land whereon he now lives beginning in my westward line on the North side of the middle branch running east to my other line thence running the various courses of my other line to where it begun George Brickhouse has the privilege of this land and at his death I give it to his children, I hold my son George firmly bound to pay ten dollars apiece to each of my daughter Marys children when each one arives at the age of twenty one.

I lend to Mathew S. Brickhouse my son the other part of my land on which he now lives beginning at the same place where George did end running my old line southwardly to the main road and around on the east side to where the dividing line runs through and at his death I give the land to his children. I also hold my son Mathew bound to pay each of my daughter Marys children ten dollars a piece when they arive to the age of twenty one years: A piece of land on the east of the Hassell land left to my son George Brickhouse and then given to his children and lastly I do hereby constitute and appoint my trusty friend Joseph G. Brickhouse my lawful executor to all intent and purposes to execute this my last will and testament according to the intent and meaning of the same and every part and clause thereof hereby revoking and declaring utterly void all other wills and testaments by me heretofore made. In witness whereof I the said John M. Brickhouse do hereunto set my hand and seal.

The foregoing and within paper writing purporting to be the last will and testament of John M. Brickhouse deceasd is exhibited in open court by Joseph G. Brickhouse the executor therein named and the due execution thereof by the said John M. Brickhouse is prove by the oath and examination of R.B. Knight and Oliver Bateman the subscribing witnesses thereto it is therefore considered by the court that the said paper writing and every part thereof is the last will and testament of the said John M. Brickhouse and the same is ordered to be recorded and filed and thereupon the said Joseph G. Brickhouse Exer as aforesaid is duly qualified as such by taking the oath required by law
