I Annis Brickhouse of Color and living in Columbia Township of the State and County above named being of wound mind and memory But considering uncertainty of my Earthly existence. Do make and declare this my last will and testamony in manner and form folowing that is to say First that my Executor here in after named shall provid for my body a decent burial sutable to the wishes of my relation and friends and pay all funeral Expences together with my Just debts howsoever and to whom soever owing and of the money that may first come into his hands as apart or parcel of my Estate.

Item. I give and devise to my beloved Edgar Davenport that I raised and Elizabeth Tarkenton my grand daughter all of my personal property of Every description to be equally divided between the two and all of my land I know live on or real Estate to allso eaquelly divided between Edgar Davenport and Elizabeth Tarkenton. I give and bequeth to Ann Ransom my grand daughter one Dollar in money which I make and constitute my lawful heirs.

And lastly I do hereby constitute and appoint my trusty friend James G. Brickhouse my lawful Executor to all intents and purpose to execute this my last will and testimony according to the true intent and meaning of the same and every part and claus thereof. Hereby revoking and declaring uterly void all other Wills and testiments by me heretifore made in witness whereof I the said Annis Brickhouse of color so here unto set my hand and seal this 16 day of May 1888

A paper purporting to be the last Will and Testament of Annis Brickhouse Colored deceased is exhibited before me the undersigned Clerk of the Superior Court for said County by James G. Brickhouse the executor therein mentioned and the due execution thereof by the said Annis Brickhouse is proved by the oath and examination of Joseph G. Brickhouse & J. T. Wynn the subscribing witnesses thereto who being duly sworn doth depose and say and each for himself deposeth and saith that he is a subscribing witness to the paper writing now shown him purporting to be the last will and testament of Annis Brickhouse Decd that the said Annis Brickhouse in the presence of this deponent subscribed her name at the end of said paper writing which is now shown as aforesaid and which bears date o the 16th day of May 1888. And the deponent further saith that the said Annis Brickhouse the testator aforesaid did at the time of subscribing her name as aforesaid declare the said paper writing as subscribed by her and exhibited to be her last will and testament and this deponent did thereupon subscribe his name at the end of said will as an attesting witness thereto and at the request and in the presence of said testator. An this deponent further saith that at the said time when the said testator subscribed her name to the said last will as aforesaid and at the time of the deponents subscribed his name as and attesting witness thereto as aforesaid the said Annis Brickhouse was of sound mind and memory of full age to execute a will and was not under any restraint to the knowledge information or belief of this deponent and further these deponents say not.
