Tyrrell County Court of Pleas & Quarter Sessions
October Session 1789
Ordered that Sarah Brown have leave of administration on the estate of Joseph Brown deceased her late husband and give bond 200 pounds Nathan Bateman & Abraham Brown securities & qualifyed accordingly.
Sarah Brown administratrix of Joseph Brown deceased returns into court on oath an inventory of the said deceased estate.
Ordered that Sarah Brown administratrix of Joseph Brown deceased have leave to sell as much of the perishable estate of said deceased as will discharge the said decease debts & make return to next court.
January Session 1790
John Snell Deputy Sheriff returns into court an account of sales of part of the estate of Joseph Brown deceased to amount of 30 pounds, 13 shillings & 7 pence.
Ordered that Sarah Brown administratrix of Joseph Brown deceased have leave to sell the perishable estate of the said deceased and make return to next court.
April Session 1790
John Snell Deputy Sheriff exhibits into court an account of sales of part of the estate of Joseph Brown deceased amounting to 70 pounds, 18 shillings & 5 pence ordered filed.
July Session 1791
Hezekiah Spruill Esqr. exhibits into court Sarah Brown administratrix of Joseph Brown deceased account against the said deceased estate the court having examined the same find a balance due said administratrix of 35 pounds, 10 shillings & 7 pence ordered filed.

Bond dated 8 Oct 1789 in the amount of two hundred pounds appointing Sarah Brown administratrix of the estate of Joseph Brown her late husband deceased, Nathan Bateman & Abraham Brown securities.
Bond dated 25 Apr 1792 in the amount of one hundred pounds in which Elisha Belanga binds himself to prosecute a case against Sarah Brown administratrix of Joseph Brown deceased, William Banks security.
Execution dated 26 Apr 1793 and issued 25 May 1793 against Sarah Brown administratrix of the estate of Joseph Brown deceased for twenty four pounds, ten shillings & five pence which Elisha Belanga recovered against her for debt, damages & costs.
