State of North Carolina In the name of God amen: I Thomas Bryan being of sound mind and
memory, do hereby make and declare this my last Will and Testatment, in manner
and form following -
First - I lend to my wife Alffa the tract of land whereon I now life
which contains about 27- acres and joins the lands of Oliver Bateman and
others during her natural life or widow-hood.-
Secondly - I give and bequeath all my perishable estate to be equally divided
between my wife Alffa and all my children except Randel-
Thirdly- I give and devise to my son Randle all my tract of land at
the death or marrage of his mother it being the same tract which I have herein
left to my wife and as aforesaid contains about 29 acres joining Oliver
Bateman and others to have and to hold in fee simple for ever.- In testomony
whereof I the said Thomas Bryan have hereunto set my hand and seal the
8th July 1858. Signed Sealed Published and Declared To be the last will and
testament of Thomas Bryan in presents of us

State of North Carolina Then was the foregoing paper writing proved by the oaths of the subscribing
witnesses thereto who upon examination declared that they say the testatator
Thos. Bryan assign the same as his last will and testament and that they
witnessed the same at his request in his presents and at the time of its
execution he was in the opinion of sound mind and disposing memory and thereupon
pronunced by the court to be the last will and testament of said Thos.
Bryan to pass both real and personal estate - and ordered recorded.
