In the name of God Amen I Ann Cohoon of the state and county aforesaid being sick and weak in body but of sound disposing mind and memory thanks be to God for it, and calling to mind the mortality of my body and knowing it is appointed for all men once to die do constitute and ordain this my last will and testament -

First and principally of all I commend my soul to God who gave it and my body to the earth to be buried in decent Christian burial at the discression of my executors in hopes of a happy resurrection (?) and as touching such worldly property as hath pleased God to endow me with I give and dispose of in the manner and following Viz. -

I give and bequeath unto my daughter Christiana Cohoon one feather bed and equal part of my furniture to her and her heirs forever -

I give and bequeath unto my grand son William O'Neel one feather bed and equal part of my furniture to him and his heirs forever -

I give and bequeath unto my son James Cohoon all my cattle and sheep to him and his heirs forever -

I give and bequeath unto my grand daughter Silence Cohoon one linnen wheel to her and her heirs forever -

I give and bequeath unto my daughter Thankful Armstrong one chest one table one case one pot and two kettles to her and her heirs forever -

I give and bequeath unto my son James Cohoon one frying pan one looking glass to him and his heirs forever -

I give and bequeath to my daughter Thankful Armstrong one pair bellows to them and their heirs forever -

I give and bequeath unto my daughter Christiana Cohoon one pr. fire doggs to her and her heirs forever -

I give and bequeath to my daughter Christiana Cohoon a small trunk to her and her heirs gorever -

I give and bequeath al my crocory ware wooden ware pewter ware one creeper (?) one bos (?) iron & sifters one pair fire tongs one iron bason and all the rest of my household goods to be equally divided between my three daughters Christiana Cohoon Thankful Armstrong and Angelico Jones to them and their heirs -

I give and bequeath the money due on account from Polly O'Neel and all other dues and debts from any person or persons due to me to be equally divided between my three daughters Christiana Cohoon Thankful Armstrong and Angelico Jones to them and their heirs forever -

And I the said Ann Cohoon do establish ratify and confirm this to be my last will and testament disannuling disallowing and making void all other wills which I may have made at any time - - - allowing this and this only to be my last wil and testament - and my will is that my son James Cohoon and John Clayton be appointed whole and sole executors to this my last will and testament -

In witness whereof I the said Ann Cohoon have here unto set my hand and seal this first day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety three (1793)

Personally appeared in court Russell Armstrong & made oath on the Holy Evangelists of Almighty God that he saw and heard Anne Cohoon above named sign, seal, publish, pronounce & declare the above instrument of writing to be her last will & testament & at that time she was of sound disposing mind & memory & at the same time he saw T. Wood a subscribing witness sign his name thereunto & further saith not

Charles W. Barnes
