This was subsequent to an execution obtained by Thomas Weatherly on 31 Mar 1807 before John A. Patrick against William Clayton & John Simmons to satisfy a judgement obtained against them by Hezekiah Brickhouse of ten dollars and fifty nine cents plus costs and interest from 18 Oct 1806. Execution was levied on the lands of William Clayton for want of personal property and returned to court by Joseph White Constable but stayed upon William Clayton's death for 12 months per Act of Assembly.
There is also a document in 1810 related to a judgement obtained by Soloman Hassell against William Clayton deceased.
