Tyrrell County Court of Pleas & Quarter Sessions
September Session 1759
Read the petition of Rosanah Combs praying letters of administration on the estate of Robert Combs deceased granted and ordered that the clarke certify the same to the Secretary of the Province.
August Session 1770
Ordered that Rosanna Lockhart is appointed guardain of Robert Combs orphan of Robert Combs & enters Joseph Alexander & Isaac Alexander in the sum of one hundred pounds which is approved of by the court.
Personally appeared Rosanna Lockhart Joseph Alexander & Isaac Alexander and acknowledged their bond for the guardainship of Robert Combs orphan of Robert Combs ordered filed.
Ordered that Joseph Spruill Esqr. Isaac Alexander & Nehemiah Normand divide the estate of Robert Combs deceased according to law or either two of the aforesaid persons and to make return to the next court.
February Session 1779
Ordered that James Parisho be & he is hereby appointed guardian to the orphan of Robert Combs deceased and gave in security John Gibson Esqr. & Joseph Chapman in a bond of 500 pounds.

Division of the estate of Robert Combs deceased November Term 1770. Says the estate is so destroyed that very little comes to the widow's part. Most goes to Robert Combs orphan.
Guardian bond dated 15 Aug 1770 in the amount of one hundred pounds appointing Rosanna Lockhart guardian of her son Robert Combs, Joseph Alexander & Isaac Alexander securities. {Name variously given as Susanna or Rosanna Lockhart.}
Guardian bond dated 17 Feb 1779 in the amount of five hundred pounds appointing James Perisho guardian of Robert Combs orphan of Robert Combs deceased, John Gibson & Joseph Chapman securities.
