I Kisin Duvals of the County and State aforesaid being of sound mind and memory but concidering the uncertainty of my earthly existance, do make and declare this my last will and testament in manner and form following. That is to say first - that my executor hereinafter names shall provide for my body a decent burial suitable to the wishes of my relatives & friends and pay all funeral expenses.

I give and bequeth to George W. Merritt my son one half all the money and chattle property that I own of every description and the other half to Sarah Alexander the wife of John W. Alexander to be divided by themselves if they can and if not by my lawful executor who shall appoint three arbetrators to divide & settle the same.

And lastly I do hereby constitute and appoint my trusty friend John Bateman my lawful executor to all intents and purposes to execute this my last will and testament according to the true intent and meaning ot the same and every part and clause thereof here revoking and declaring utterly void all other will and testaments by me heretofore.

In witness whereof I the said Kisin Duvals do hereunto set my hand and seal.

This first day of January 1884.

presence of us who at her request and in her presence
do subscribe our names as witness thereto.

There is in the hands of Sarah F. Alexander the sum of fifty five dollars which is my money & also account due me by Joseph W. Brickhouse the sum of 80 cts. and also due by Joseph Bateman five dollars & 61

In the matter of the last will and testament of Kisin Duvals.

A paper writing hereto anexed purporting to be the last will and testament of Kissin Duvals bearing date of January 1st 1884, with the names of Joseph G. Brickhouse and Enock Batman as subscribing witness thereto. And with John Batman named as executor to same is presented by said John Batman for probate and proves as follows:

Jos. G. Brickhouse and Enoch Batman being each duly sworn deposes and says that on the 1st day of January 1884, they saw the said Kissin Duvals sign and execute said paper writing and publish and declare the same in their presence and in the presence of each other and at her request did sign their names as witnesses to the same. Each of them further swears that he believes the said Kissin Duvals was of sound mind and memory and capable of making a will at the time aforesaid.

Wherefore it is considered and adjudged by the Court that the said paper writing is the last will and testament of said Kissin Duvals.

It is further ordered that letters testamentary on the estate of said Kissin Duvals issue to John Batman as her executor. 10th Nov. 1884
