Tyrrell County Court of Pleas & Quarter Sessions
January Session 1783
Ordered that Isaac Devenport Junr. have leave to administer on the estate of Asael Devenport deceased & gave bond in the sum of 100 pounds specie by giving John Snell Senr. & Wm. Howett securities & that the said Isaac Devenport take into his possession all the property of the sd deceased.
April Session 1783
Appeared Isaac Devenport in open court & exhibited on oath the inventory of Asael Devenport deceased estate & ordered to be filed.
Ordered that Isaac Devenport administrator of Asael Devenport deceased have leave to have a division of the sd deceased estate & make returns to next court - James Devenport Senr. John Norman & Seth Phelps appointed to divide the same.
July Session 1783
Ordered that Mr. John Wynne & Jonathan Phelps divide the estate of Asael Devenport & make returns to this court.
Ordered that the division of the estate of Asael Devenport exhibited in open court by Isaac Devenport administrator be filed.
July Session 1788
Thomas Stewart and Hezekiah Spruill Esquires appointed to audit and inspect and settle the accounts of guardians administrators and administratrix accounts of the deceased estates which is accordingly done as per entrys following to wit - Isaac Davenport administrator of Asael Davenport deceased and find a balance appeared & declared that he has no part of the said deceased estate in his hands nor ever had.
