April Session 1818

Ordered that John Ansley have leave of administration on the estate of John Davenport Shab deceased & has entered into bond in the sum of five hundred pounds Benjn. Arnold & Willis Davis securitys.

Ordered that John Ansley administrator of the estate of John Davenport Shab sell the perishable estate of said deceased & make return to next term.

Ordered that Richard Wood John Haughton Danl. Bateman & James Wood lay off to Zilpha Davenport widdow of John Davenport one years provision agreeable to act of assembly & make return to next term.

July Session 1818

The years allowance to Zilpha Davenport widdow of Jno. Davenport deceased was returned to court & filed.

Inventory & account of sales of John Davenport was returned to court on oath by Jno. Ansley the administrator & filed.

October Session 1818

John Ansley administrator of John Davenport deceased returned to court an account of sales of the residue of the estate of said deceased proved & filed.

April Session 1819

Ordered that John Micheau Esqr. Richard Wood Daniel Bateman & Nathaniel Bratton be appointed to allot & lay off to Zilpha Davenport widdow of John Davenport deceased one years provision ot of the ? stock & provisions & for want of such to lay off to her such an allowance in money & make report to next term - - & that the former order which was acted upon be set aside.

July Session 1819

Richd. Wood returned in open court the years provision of Zilpha Davenport widow of John Davenport deceased & filed.

January Session 1820

Ordered that Zebulon Tarkinton Nathan Phelps & Imre Spruill be appointed to audite & settle the accounts of John Davenport deceased between the administrator & the heirs & make report to the next term.

April Session 1820

Ordered that James Wood Zebulon Tarkenton and Nathan Phelps be appointed to audite & settle the estate of John Davenport Senr. deceased with his administrator & make report to the next term.

July Session 1820

Ordered that James Wood Zebulon Tarkenton and Nathan Phelps be reappointed to audite & settle the estate of John Davenport Senr. deceased with his administrator & make report to the next term.

October Session 1820

Zebulon Tarkenton returned in open court the audited accounts of John Davenport Senr. deceased balance due the administrator eleven dollars and ninety four cents.

Bond dated 14 Apr 1818 in the amount of five hundred dollars appointing administrator of the estate of Jno. Davenport deceased, Benjamin Arnold & Willis Davis securities. Flyleaf says Jno. Davenport Sr.

Laying off of a years provision to Zilpha Davenport widow of John Davenport Senr. on 25 Apr 1818. Since there was no crop, stock or provisions on hand, she was allowed $114.50 out of the estate. On review by the court at July term, the amount was reduced to $60.

Many documents related to a suit by Peter Marriner Senr. against the estate of John Davenport Senr. to recover a $32 debt.
