In the name of God Amen - I Jonathan Felps of Tyrrell County ship carpenter being very sick & weak in body, but of perfect mind and memory thanks be given to almighty God, Therefore calling to mind the mortality of my body & knowing that it appointed for all men once to die, I do make and ordain this my last will and testament that is to say principally and first of all I give & recommend to the executors, nothing doubting but at the general resurrection I shall receive the same again by the almighty power of God to bless me within this life, I give, demise & dispose of the same in the following manner and form -

Item I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Sarah one third of all my movables except my tools

Item I give and bequeath to my beloved daughter Mary one third of my movables except my tools

Item I give and bequeath to my son Blake all my land four hundred acres lying on the east side of Scuppernong River and joining Richard Howets patent and running down to ? him and one hundred and thirty acres on the same side of sd river in Cravens patent and likewise all my tools and one hundred and twenty five acres of land more or less belonging to the manner plantation

Lastly I do make constitute and ordain John Warrington and John Alexander to be whole sole executors to this my last will and testament whom I do appoint I do revoke & make void disanul disallow all former will or wills by me made, and this only to be my last will and testament as witness my hand and seal this the eleventh day of November one thousand seven hundred and ninety five
