Tyrrell County Court of Pleas & Quarter Sessions
January Session 1799
An account of sales of the estate of John Godwin deceased was returned in open court by Isaac Patrick amounting to 110 pounds, 11 shillings & 11 pence ordered filed.
April Session 1799
Ordered that Silba Godwin be appointed guardian to Silba Godwin & Elijah Godwin orphans of John Godwin deceased and give bond and security in 500 pounds each William Hassell and Jesse Davis securities.
Ordered that Silba Godwin guardian to the orphans of John Godwin deceased have leave to take the property of said orphans out of the hand of Thomas Warrington as administrator to the estate of Enoch Ludford deceased.
July Session 1800
Ordered that William Hassell be allowed twelve pounds thirteen shillings and four pence for the support of Elijah Godwin orphan of John Godwin deceased for nineteen months from the 1st day of May 1798 till the first day of December 1799.
