To All To Whom These Presents shall Come Or May Concern, Greeting:
Know Ye: that we, having examined the records and files in the office of the Surrogate of the County of Kings, do find there remaining a certain record of the last Will and Testament of Mary A. Hall, deceased, together with the petition the depositions of subscribing witnesses, the decree admitting said will to probate, and letters Testamentary granted thereon.

In The Name Of God, Amen, I, Mary A. Hall, being of sound mind and memory and considering the uncertainty of this life, do therefore make, ordain, publish and declare this to be my last Will and Testament, That is to say:
First: After all my lawful debts are paid and discharged, I Give And Bequeath to my sister Martha M. Young my house situated at 252 Cumberland St. Brooklyn, Long Island, I also Give and Bequeath, to my sister Martha M. Young all my household furniture, wearing apparel and silver plate, together with my silver watch and two gold watches, and to my said sister Martha M. Young I also Bequeath all my right, title and interest being a one-third interest in the house and lot known as two hundred and two (202) North Fifth Street, in the City of Philadelphia and State of Pennsylvania to be held by her as in fee simple, Together With all accrued rents due from said premises at the period of my demise.
And to my said sister Martha M. Young I also Bequeath all the personal effects and estate whatsoever of which I may die seized.
Likewise I make constitute and appoint my Cousin Alexander Wilson and Dr. George Ostrander to be Executors of this my last will and testament, hereby revoking all former wills by me made.

Subscribed By Mary A. Hall the Testator named in the foregoing Will in the presence of each of us, and at the time of making such subscription the above instrument was declared by said Testator to be her last will and testament and each of us at the request of the said Testator, and in her presence, and in the presence of each other signed her name as a witness thereto, at the end of the Will.

In The Matter Of The Application For The Probate Of The Last Will And Testament Of Mary A. Hall, late of Brooklyn, deceased.
Kings County, towit:
I, Alexander Wilson of 374 Cumberland Street, Brooklyn, being duly sworn and examined, do depose and say that I am one of the executors named in the last Will and Testament of Mary A. Hall, late of Brooklyn in the County of Kings, deceased. That deceased was, at the time of her death, an inhabitant of the County of Kings, and departed this life in said County on the 10th day of November, in the year 1864; that said last will and Testament relates to both real and personal estate, and that the heirs and next of kin of said deceased are as follows:
Martha M. Young, residing at 252 Cumberland Street in the City of Brooklyn, Kings County, and State of New York.
John Young residing at St. Johns in Putnam County, Missouri, a brother of said deceased, and Eleanor Reid, widow, a sister of deceased residing at Putnamville, Indiana.
All of full age, The said deceased left no husband, children, descendants of children, father or mother. The estate of deceased is less than one thousand dollars in value.
And I ask that the said Last Will and Testament may be proved, and letters testamentary granted thereon, according to law.

Kings County, to-wit:
Alexander C. Wilson, of the City of Brooklyn being duly sworn and examined before Roswell C. Brainard, Surrogate of the County of Kings, doth depose and say, that he was well acquainted with Mary A. Hall, now deceased, that the subscription of the name Mary A. Hall deceased, at the end of the instrument now shown to this deponent and offered for probate as the last will and testament of the said Mary A. Hall, deceased, and bearing date the thirteenth day of October in the year One Thousand Eight Hundred and Sixty four was made by the deceased in the presence of Sarah M. F. Scott, and of this deponent, that at the time of making such subscription the said Mary A. Hall, deceased, declared the said instrument so subscribed by her to be her last will and testament; and thereupon this deponent signed his name as witness at the end of said instrument, at the request of the said Mary A. Hall, deceased, and in her presence and that the said Mary A. Hall, deceased at the time of executing said instrument was over the age of twenty-one years, of sound mind and memory, and not under any restraint.

In The Matter Of Proving The Last Will And Testament Of Mary A. Hall, late of the City of Brooklyn, deceased.
Satisfactory proof having been made of the due service of the citation issued in this matter, requiring the proper persons to appear in this Court on the 15th day of December 1864, and 15th day of February, in the year 1865 to attend the probate of the last Will and Testament of the said Mary A. Hall, deceased.
J. Marshall Esq., Attorney for John M. Young appeared in person, the witnesses to said Will were sworn by the Surrogate and examined before him, their examination was reduced to writing and filed. And this Court being satisfied that the said Will is genuine; doth adjudge and decree that the said will was duly executed by the said Mary A. Hall, deceased, that the said Mary A. Hall, deceased, at the time she executed the same, was in all respects competent to devise real estate, and not under restraint, that the said will is a valid will of real and personal estate and that the proofs therefore are sufficient.
And this Court doth Order, that the said Will Proofs and Examinations be recorded, and that the Letters Testamentary issue to the Executor in said Will named on their taking the oath required by the Statute.

Know Ye: That at the City of Brooklyn, in the County of Kings, on the fifth day of April, in the year of our Lord One Thousand, eight hundred and sixty five before Roswell C. Brainard, esquire, Surrogate, of our said County the last Will and Testament of Mary A. Hall, late of the City of Brooklyn, deceased, was proved and is now approved and allowed by us; and the said deceased being at the time of her death, an inhabitant of the County of Kings; by reason whereof the proving and registering the said Will and the granting administration of all and singular the goods chattels and credits of the said deceased, and also the auditing, allowing, and final discharing the account thereof doth belong unto the Surrogate of the said County, the administration of all and singular the goods, chattels and credits of the said deceased, and any way concerning her will, is granted unto Alexander C. Wilson and Executor in the said Will named he being first duly sworn faithfully and honestly to discharge the duties of such executor. In Testimony Whereof, we have caused the seal of office of our said Surrogate to be hereunto affixed.

In The Matter Of The Last Will And Testament Of Mary A. Hall, deceased.
W. D. Morrison, of the County of Hyde, having produced for probate in said County, before R. D. Harriss, Clerk of the Superior Court thereof, the attached exemplification or certified copy of the last will and testament of Mary A. Hall, deceased, together with the petition, the depositions of subscribing witnesses, the decree admitting said will to probate the letters testamentary granted thereon as they appear of record and on file in the office of the Surrogate of the County of Kings, State of New York, and it affirmatively appearing therefrom to this Court, that the said last will and testament is duly executed, attested and probated in the form and manner required by the laws of North Carolina, and that the execution, attestation and probate thereof are in all respects regular and sufficient to pass title to real and personal property in this State; it is now ordered and adjudged by this Court that the said Exemplication be received filed and recorded in the office of the Clerk of the Superior Court of Hyde County aforesaid as a full, true and correct record of the last will and testament of the said Mary A. Hall, deceased, together with the petition, the depositions of subscribing witnesses the decree admitting said will to probate and the letters testamentary granted thereon, as fully to all intents and purposes as if the original will had been filed and probated before the said Clerk and as provided by law in such cases.

The foregoing certificate of the proof and probate of the within and foregoing paper writing purporting to be a certified copy of the Last Will and Testament of Mary A. Hall, late of the County of Kings, State of New York, by Wm. P. Pickett, Clerk of the Surrogate's Court of the County of Kings, State of New York, attested by his official seal, is adjudged to be correct and in due form of law.
It is further adjudged that the said paper writing is a true copy of the last Will and Testament of Mary A. Hall, deceased, and that the said Will has been duly and lawfully executed, proven and certified as a will of land in the State of North Carolina.
And it appearing that the testator in said will died seized of lands in the County of Tyrrell in the State of North Carolina, it is ordered that the said paper writing, together with the certificate of the aforesaid Wm. P. Pickett, Clerk of the Surrogate's Court of the County of Kings, in the State of New York, attested by his official seal, the certificate of Jas. C. Church, Sole Presiding Magistrate of the said Surrogate's Court, attested by his official seal, and of Wm. P. Pickett, Clerk of the said Surrogate's Court of the County of Kings, in the State of New York, and the others papers thereto attached, including the certificate of the Clerk of the Superior Court of Hyde County, North Carolina, attested by his official seal, be admitted to probate and recorded in Tyrrell County, North Carolina.
