In the name of God Amen this 20th day of March 1733/4 I Jane Hambleton of Terrel precinct & County of Albemarle in ye province of North Carolina widow being very Sick & weak of body but of perfect mind & memory Thanks be given unto God Therefore Calling unto mind ye mortality of my body and knowing That is is appointed once for all women to die do make ordain This my Last will & Testament That is to Try principally of first of all I give & recommend my Soul into ye hands of God That Gave it and my body I recommend to ye Earth to be buried in a decent Christian Burial at ye Discression of my Executors nothing Doubting but at ye General Resurection I Shall receive ye Same again by ye mighty power of Almighty God to bless me in This Life I give De,osse & Disposse of ye Same in Manner & form following
Impriss I give and Bequeath to my well beloved Son and Daughter John Garret and Mary his wife 1 feather bed & bedding 3 Dishes 3 bassons 3 paringers 1 Tankard 1 pint pot one Iron pot a Roan Grey mare & her Incress with as much more as Shall be Equivalent to one half of my Estate as They shall think fitt.
Item I make ordain and Constitute ye sd. John Garret & Mary his wife my Sole Executor of This my Last will & Testament all and Singular my Lands & Tenements by them freely To be possessed & Enjoyed and do revoke Disanull all other form of Wills Legacies & bequeath & Executors before named Confirming This & no Other to be my Last will and Testament in Witness Whereof I have hereunto Set my hand & Seal ye Day and year above written
