Tyrrell County Court of Pleas & Quarter Sessions
January Session 1789
Ordered that Ann Hancock widow of Benjamin Hancock deceased be summoned to appear to our court and administer of the said deceaseds estate or show cause why administration should not be granted.
April Session 1789
Ordered that Isaac Meekings Junr. have leave of administration on the estate of Benjamin Hancock deceased and give bond in 100 pounds John Poole and John Snell securities & qualifyed accordingly.
Also the said Isaac Meekings administrator returned into court on oath an inventory of the estate of the said Benjamin Hancock deceased ordered filed.
Ordered that Isaac Meekings administrator of Benjamin Hancock deceased have leave to sell the perishable part of the estate of the said deceased and make return to next court.
July Session 1789
John Snell Deputy Sheriff returns into court an account of sales of the estate of Benjamin Hancock deceased amounting to 10 pounds, 18 shillings & 11 pence ordered filed.
January Session 1794
Ordered that John Meekins administrator of Isaac Meekins deceased administrator of Benjamin Hankock deceased have leave to settle the estates of said deceaseds and make return to next court.
Ordered that Thomas Hoskins John Pool Esqrs. John Liverman Senr. or either two be appointed be appointed to divide and settle the estates of Isaac Meekins Junr. and Benjamin Handcock and make returns to next court.
