Guardian bond dated 6 Sep 1743 in the amount of one hundred pounds appointing Thomas Hawkins guardian of Ann Hanson and Mary Hanson orphans of John Hanson deceased and also guardian of Elizabeth Hassell orphan of Mathew Hassell deceased with William Stealy & John Swain securities.
Account of sales of the estate of John Hanson deceased on 17 Dec 1743. Elizabeth Hawkins was the principal buyer. Other buyers were William Tetterton, John Swain, Giles Long, Jacob Blunt, Anderson Sagg & James Long.
Account of sales of part of the estate of John Hanson deceased on 13 Dec 1744. One cow & calf and a grindstone to Elizabeth Hawkins.

Since the widow is usually a major purchaser at estate sales and Thomas Hawkins is appointed guardian it is probable that
Elizabet Hawkins is the widow of John Hanson, remarried to Thomas Hawkins.
