North Carolina In the name of God Amen: The 13 day of April 1761 I William Kennedy Junr. Of Tyrrel County in the Province above said week in body but of perfect mind and memory thanks be to God Almighty for the same do make and ordain this my last will and Testament in manner following: first of all I recommend my soul into the hands of Almighty that gave it and my body to the Earth to be decently buried at the duretion of my Executors after paying all my just debts and defraing my funeral charges.
Imprimis - I give and bequeath my plantation I now live upon unto my well beloved son Benjamin Kennedy to him his heirs or assigns forever after the decease of my beloved wife Caken Kennedy I lend the use of all my Estate that is now my own property unto my beloved life during the time of the widowhood then to be equally divided amoungst all my Children and what they have now called their one property to be put into hadgpot that every one may have and equal part excepting my Sarah Kennedys cattle and what comes from them to be her owne property without any division because they never was no part of my Estate I except my son Benjamin having any part only my plantation I nomenate and appoint by beloved wife Cakent Kennedy Executrix of this my last Will and Testament and John Kennedy Executor revoaking Wills and Testament made by me before this my last Will and Testament dated the day above mentioned.

Personally appeared William Kennedy Esqr. and on his corperal oath proved the last will and testament of William Kennedy Junr. deceased and that he was of desposing memory and that he saw the other subscribing witness Francis Kennedy sign as a witness at the same time.
Then appeared Cathern Kennedy wife of the deceased and John Kenneday executorx and executor and qualified executorex and executor by taking the oath appointed by law.
Personally appeared John Kennedy and on his oath proved the inventory of William Kennedy deceased so far as has come to his knowledge & possession. Ordered filed.
