June Session 1763
To all to whome these presents shall come I Mulford Langston of Tyrrel County in the Province of North Carolina send greeting in our lord God everlasting know ye that I the said Mulford Langston for and in consideration of the natural love good will & affection which I have and do bear toward my duty full & well beloved daughter (to wit) Ann Langstone have given granted and confirmed and by this my present writing do fully freely and absolutely give grant alien & confirm unto the said Ann Langstone all and singular my goods chattells land and household stuff implements I mean all and singular my estate as well real as personal of what kind or quality so ever as in any place or messuage whatsoever wheather dead or alive in whose hand of custody the same or any part there of can or may be found runing or being and which I could justly claim as in right my owne to have hold use enjoy all and singular the premisses aforesd. unto her the said Ann Langston her executors administrators & assigns from hence forever provided allways and nevertheless that it shall and may be lawfull to and for the sd. Mulford Langstone and Mary my wife to dwell on use occupy and at decretone at any time or times hereafter for our suport or the suport of any or either of us to use convert any part or parsell of said estate without any molestation or interruption in the use and occupation of the said estate or any part thereof of me the said Mulford and Mary my wife or the survivor of us or any impeachment or whaste for any part conviled to use as abovesaid: I mean and would be understoos as in the usual and more familer manner of speaking that is in the above donation or out of the above donation I expect and reserve my living and my wifes living out of the said estate so long as we or any of us shall live any controul debar or hinderance so that the said reservation cease not at the decease of the said Mulford or my said wife but remains and holds good to the survivor during his or her natural life and the said Mulford Langstone all and singular the said goods and chattells implements and things whatsoever and others the premises unto her the said Ann Langston her executors administrators and assigns against all people shall & will warrant and forever defend except as above excepted which exception or reserve shall hold good & valied any thing in this writing mentioned be to the contrary in any wise not with standing in witness whereof I the said Mulford Langstone have herewith set my hand and seal this sixteenth day of July one thousand seven hundred & fifty three.
