In the name of God amen: I James Long of the County of Tyrrel in the province of North Carolina being in perfect understanding and memory thanks be to God for the same but considering the transitoriness of life the uncertainty of the time of death and also the posableness of the same do make constitute and appoint this for my last Will and Testament in manner and form following first as to my soul that imortal part of me I bequeath into the hand of God who gave it and as to by body I desire it may be decently buried at the duretion of my executors hereafter to be named and as to that wordly Estate goods and possessions with which it pleased God to bless me I dispose of as follows ---

Imprimis - I give and bequeath to my three sons James Stephen and Levi Long all my lands in Scuperlong each fifty acres joyning to John Burtenshells Island to them and their heirs forever to be eaqueally divided between them.

Item - I give and bequeath to my son Isaac Long the plantation I now live on and his heirs for ever with all the land hereunto belonging.

Item - I give to my daughter Mary Norman one mare one feather beed and furniture which she and her husband Samuel Norman has in possion I also give to my daughter Mary Norman wife of Samuel Norman one shilling sterling to be paid her with in one year after my death.

Item - I give and bequeath to my daughters Ann Jemima and Sarah each of them a feather beed and furniture.

Item - I give and bequeath to my loving wife Mary Long all my Estate goods and chattells not disposed of as long as she lives my widdow and after her decease or marry then I will and desire that that part I have given to my wife be eaqually divided between my four sons and three daughters James Stephen Levi and Isaac Long Ann Jemima and Sarah Long.

Item - I give and bequeath to Richard Burtenshells desd. heir fifty acres of land in Scuperlong joying John Burtenshells Island ---

Item - I constitute and appoint and ordain Executors of this my last Will and Testament my well beloved wife Mary Long and Jointly with her my well beloved son James Long and my well beloved brother Giles Long Executors of this my last Will and Testament revoaking and disannuling all former Wills at any time before by me made and I do hereby retify and confirm this and appoint and ordaine this for my last Will and Testament this tenth day of December in the year of our Redemption 1752.
