Tyrrell County Court of Pleas & Quarter Sessions
October Session 1798
James Long Junr. returns in open court the accounts of the estate of John Long Junr. audited and settled by Robert Davison Esqr. & Capt. James Long and find a ballance due the estate of 26 pounds & 18 shillings the court has allso ordered a commission of 2 1/2 percent on the account of sales in favor of the administrator.

Administrator's bond dated 27 Oct 1794 in the amount of one hundred pounds appointing James Long Senr. administrator of the estate of John Long deceased, William Blount & Evin Skinner securities.
Guardian bond dated 28 Jan 1795 in the amount of five hundred pounds appointing James Long guardian to Thomas & Elizabeth Long orphans of John Long deceased, Cornelius Leary & John Swain securities.
