I Hardy H. Liverman of the County of Tyrrell and State of North Carolina being of sound mind and memory but considering the uncertainty of my Earthly existence, do make and declare this my last will and testament in manner and form following, that is to say first that my executor herein after named shall provide for my body a decent buried suitable to the wishes of my relations and friends and pay all Just debts.

I lone to my beloved wife Phebe Ann Liverman during her life time or widowhood all of my personal and real estate for her to raise educate all of my children and they come of age -shud their bein any acount in against them in date or out (?) that I leave against them it must stand good against them.

An lastly I hereby Constitute and appoint trusty friend Jno M. Liverman my lawful executor to all interest and purposes to execute this my last will and testament according to the true interest and meaning of this (/) and every part and clause thereof. Hereby revoking and declaring uterly void all of the wills and testaments hereto fore made. In witness hereforeto the said Hardy H Liverman do hereunto set my hand seal this 26th day of June 1869.

presence do subscribe my name as witness Thereto.


If here(?) shall be any account left in my hand (?) it against any of my children in dat(?) or out of dat and they (?) Owing for the same they can not have not share in my Estate the (?) (?) (?) arround (?) to not brak the will

A paper writing without subscribing witnesses purporting to be last will and testament of Hardy H. Liverman deceased is exhibited before me the under signed Judge of Probate Court of said County by F. C. Patrick (an heir in the estate of said deceased and it is therefor proved by oath and examination of James M Liverman who being duly sworn doth depose and say that the said will was found (?) this will of a certain chest in possession of said deceased at his death, and after his death and it is further proved by the oath and examination of three creditable witnesses to wit Jesse A Cahoon M.D.L Newbery and James M. Liverman who being duly sworn doth depose and say and each for himself (?) And sayeth that they and each of them are acquainted with the land writing of the said Hardy H. Liverman having often seen him write and verily believe that the name of Hardy H Liverman subscribed to the said will and the said will itself and every part thereof are in the proper hand writing of the said Hardy H. Livermanand that the said hand writing is generally known to the acquaintenances of the said Hardy H. Liverman. And further these deponents say not (?)
