Ashbee Liverman returned the account of sales of the negro hire belonging to the estate of Phebe Liverman deceased for 1841.

July Session 1842

Ordered that Benjamin Sikes, Charles McClees & Jesse Sikes settle and audite the estate of Phebee Liverman deceased with the administrator.

Division of the negros of Thos. Liverman deceased among the heirs by Benj. Sikes, David Cahoon & Fred. Patrick pursuant to a court order at January Term 1841 and as set forth in the petition of Ashbee Liverman and others on 26 Apr 1841.

To Charles McClees as administrator of his wife Nancy - Ivy & Mills valued at $500.

Petition at July Term 1842 by Ashbee Liverman, administrator of Phoebe Liverman that there is belonging to the estate of his intestate a negro woman slave named Louisa and a young child Kennedy, the child of said Louisa. He further shows that the following persons are distributees of the said intestate in the proportions herein stated, viz. Ashbee Liverman & wife Prussia one share, George, Jesse, Thomas & Mary Liverman one share, ?, Alfred & Sarah Alfred one share, Elizabeth, John, Frederick, Cornelious & Phoebe Davenport one share, James McClees, Martha McClees & Mary McClees one share, and Elikim Swain and wife Mary one share. Petitioner prays an order for sale.

Agreeable to a petition filed at July Term 1842 authorizing me as clerk to sell negro woman Louisa and her child George to make distribution among the heirs at law of Phoebe Liverman deceased viz. Ashbee Liverman and wife, George, Jesse, Thomas & Mary Liverman, Fredk. and Mary Alfred one share Elizabeth, John & Fredk. Davenport, Charles McClees & Elikim Swain now agreeable to said petition after advertising said negros 20 days in 3 public places in said county I did offer said negros at public sale at the house of Chas. McClees him being present and he bid for said negros the sum of $321 and that being the highest and last bid became the purchaser thereof which will leave $309 to be divided among the heirs after deducting the expense of sale. The 1841 division of negros of Thos. Liverman appears to be misfiled in the estate papers of Phoebe Liverman.

Cahoon security; and Thompson Liverman to Louisa Sikes on 21 Jan 1832, Elikim Swain security.

The 1837 estste papers of James Davenport show that he was the husband of Mariah Liverman. The children's names in that file and this file match.
