In the name of God, amen.
I Joseph McClees, being of sound mind and memory do make, and declare
this to be my last Will and Testament.
Item- 1st – My desire is that my estate shall be equally divided between my
brothers, Henry McClees, William McClees and Nelson McClees-
Item- 2nd – I do hereby constitute and appoint my brothers Henry
McClees and William McClees my lawful executors, to execute this my
last Will and Testament-
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 7 September
1855-

State of N. Carolina The foregoing paper writing was duly proved in open court to be the last Will
and Testament of Joseph McClees of said County, executed with all the
formalities of law to pass real & personal estate by John Pledger, Sam'l.
McClees and Jesse R. Stubbs- John Pledger testified that he
was present when this paper was found among the valuable papers of deceased-
Sam'l. McClees and Jesse R. Stubbs that they are well acquainted
with the hand writing of said deceased, that they have carefully examined the
said paper and that the same and every part of it is in the proper handwriting
of the deceased Jos. McClees- Saml. McClees Clk.

that the said paper writing is the last Will and Testament of Joseph
McClees and ordered that the same be admitted to probate as such-
