Tyrrell County Court of Pleas & Quarter Sessions
April Session 1781
Susannah MacKeabe appeared in open court and prayed administration of the estate of Joshua MacKeabe granted the said Susannah McKabe appeared in open court and quallified as admnx of the estate of Joshua MacKeabe and entered into bonds in security with Isaac Devenport & John Devenport in the sum of 10,000 pounds current money of this state. Ordered that letters issue.
Susannah MacKeab returned into open court the inventory on oath of the estate of Joshua MacKeabe ordered to be filed.
Ordered that Susannah MacKeabe sell so much of the perishable part of the estate of Joshua MacKeabe as shall discharge the debts as the law directs.
April Session 1788
Ordered that Joshua McCabe son of Susannah McCabe be bound unto Joseph Ansley Senr. for the term of fifteen years and the said Joseph Ansley is to learn the said Joshua McCabe the art & mistery of a cooper and to read, write & cypher as far as the rule of three.
