In the name of God amen: The second day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and sixty seven I James Midelton calling to mind the motality of my body and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament that is to say principally and first of all I give and recommend my soul into the hands of God that gave it and my body to the Earth to be buried at the duretion of my Exectr. And as touching such worldly Estate wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me with in this life I give and dispose of it in the following manner Viz. In the first place I give to my dear beloved wife Sarah Midelton my manner plantation during her life and at her death to faul to my youngest son Thomas Midelton and all the rest of my perishable to my wife Sarah until any children shall come of age and them to be equally divided between my wife and children excepting my youngest son Thomas Midelton and he to have no other part but the land as before mentioned.
Item - Fater all these my Lagaceys paid and all my lawfull debts paid I give and dispose of all my Estate as before mentioned I do hereby utterly disallow and revoak and disannul all and every other former Testament Wills and Lagaceys bequests retifying and confirming this to be my last Will and Testament in witness I likewise leave my wife Sarah Midelton holy and soly Executor to this my last Will and Testament.
Signed sealed and pronounced and declared the said James Midelton as his last Will and Testament in the presence of us the Subscribers Viz.

Sarah Middleton exhibited an inventory of the estate of James Middleton deceased & proved the same on her oath.
Personally appeared John Stubbs and on his oath proved the last will and testament of James Middleton deceased and sayeth that he was of sound mind & memory & that he saw Edw. Walker & Richard Fagan sign as witnesses at the same time ordered that the clerk certify the same to the Secretary of the Province that letters issue.
