Tyrrell County Court of Pleas & Quarter Sessions
April Session 1781
On motion ordered that John Payne Mathew Driver Greaves Thomas Mann John Caroon to appraise and divide the estate of Joseph Mann deceased agreeable to the will amongst the heirs of the said Joseph Mann.
Ordered that Stephen Wescoat be appointed guardian to Samuel Mann orphan of Joseph Mann and that the said Stephen Wescoat give bond and security for the faithful guardianship of the said orphan in the sum of fifty thousand pounds.

Guardian bond dated 2 Apr 1781 in the amount of fifty ? thousand pounds appointing Stephen Wescott guardian of Samuel Mann a minor orphan with Joseph Wyatt & Thomas Everitt securities. Flyleaf says Samuel Mann is orphan of Joseph Mann.
