In the name of God amen: I Edward Mann Ser. Being in a feable state of health but considering myself in perfect mind & memory and knowing that all men must die I freely give up my body to be buried in a plain decent manner nothing more at direction of my executrix or executor and my soul I freely resign to God who gave it in full and certain hope of the resurrection - and as touching such worldy goods as it hath pleased God to bless me with - I give and dispose of in the following manner Viz:-
1st - I lend to my beloved wife Sarah Mann my houses house hold goods all there unto belonging also one half of her choice of the plantation where I now live all stock of all kind all the farmeing tools also the privelidge of the woodling land to get wood and such timber as is needed on the plantation all lent property during her natural life or widowhood for the purpose of supporting her and to make a home for my daughters while they wish to stay with her. At her death I want all the parishable property of all sorts to be sold at public sale by my executors and all the net proceeds thereof to be equally divided between my three daughters Harit R. Mann Sarah M. Mann and Eliza F. Mann share & share alike.
2d - I give and bequeth unto my son Spencer D. Mann one fourth part of all the land I posess beginning at Josep Croon N.W. line running N.W. by a strate line across the land therewith all appertaining to it.
3d - I give and bequeth unto my son Samuel E. Mann one fourth part of all the lands I own beginning at Spencer D. Manns N.W. line running N.W. with all appertaining to it.
4th - I give and bequeth unto my son Thos. R. Mann one fourth part of all the land I own beginning at Samuel E. Manns N.W. line running N.W. with all appertaining to it.
5th - I give and bequeth unto my son Wm. M. K. Mann one fourth part of all the land I own beginning at Thos. R. Mann N.W. with all appertaining to it.
I give and bequeth unto my daughter Harret R. Mann two hundred dollars in cash or good promisory note.
6th - I give and bequeth unto my daughter Sarah M. Mann two hundred dollars in cash or good promissory note.
7th - I give & bequeth unto my daughter Eliza F. Mann two hundred dollars in cas or good promisary note. Should either of my above named sons die without lawful heirs I wish the living brothers to be their heirs whilst one should live. Should either of my above named daughters die without lawful heirs I wish the living sisters to be the heirs whilst one should live. The amt of land and marsh agreeable to estimation is six hundred & seventy acres I request that the up land be examined by good parental men and as far N.W. is considered to be fit for cultivation I want to begin at Joseph Caroons N.W. line and be equally divided into four parts share and share alike runing strate lines across the land from the water to the back lines the N.W. of privledge land & marsh I wish to be equal to each brother for range &c.
I want by free consent of each brother that there shall be a ten foot road free for creatures to pass running from the S.E. line to the N.W. line of the whole tract of land any part that fair men shall say is most advantagious for all the above named brothers - I request that if either should be disposed to sell that they would give the brothers the first refusal. I wish all my just debts to be paid by my executrix or executor.
8th - And lastly I do nominate and appoint my beloved wife Sarah Mann executrix with Thos. R. Mann and Wm. M. K. Mann my sole executors to this my last will and testament ratifying and confirming this to be my last will and no other as witness my hand and seal this the 8th day of July 1858.

Then was the within paper writing presented in open court as the last will & testament of Edward Mann Sen. Decd. Thos. R. Mann one of the exrs. Therein named - the lawful executor thereof was duly proven by the oaths of Joseph B. Mann & Benja. B. Mann the subscribing witnesses thereto whereupon it was considered by the court that the within paper writing was & is in all & every part the last will & testament of Edward Mann Sen. & that it be admitted to probate & registered together with this probate.
