January Session 1827

Ordered that administration on the estate of Trustee Lafayette Marriner be granted to Wilson B. Hodges.

July Session 1827

Ordered that Edmd. Alexander guardian of Lafayette J. Marriner be allowed the sum of fifty one dollars that is to say $46 for 11 1/2 months board etc. and $5 for funeral expences.

October Session 1829

Jos. Alexander & others to the Court
Petition to remove administrator
In this case it is ordered that prayer of the petitioners be granted & be recorded and annette (?) that W. B. Hodges be removed from the administratorship of Trustee Lafayette Marriner.

On motion ordered that Jos. Alexander be appointed administrator on the estate of Trustee Lafayette Marriner and that he enter into bond in the sum of three thousand dollars and give for security Charles McClees & Geo. H. Alexander.

Bond dated 24 Jan 1826 in the amount of two thousand dollars appointing Wilson B. Hodges administrator of the estate of Lafayette J. Marriner deceased, Burton Hathaway & David M. Sergeant securities.

Bond dated 26 Oct 1829 in the amount of three thousand dollars appointing Joseph Alexander administrator of the estate of trustee Lafayette J. Marriner deceased, Charles McClees & George Alexander securities.

Summons issued 25 Jan 1831 for T. F. Niel to attend the next session of court and testify on behalf of the defendant in a case in which Lafayette Marriner's administrator is plaintiff and Benjn. Sikes et al are defendants.

Deposition 24 Jan 1832 by Joseph Alexander in the case of Zebulon Tarkenton Chairman to the use of Lafayette Marriner's administrator vs. Wilson B. Hodges et al. Joseph Alexander makes oath that Mr. Barney was originally employed as counsel in this case and that the principal management of the cause has been confided to him.. He further states that in the absence of Mr. Barney he is unprepared and unwilling to come to trial, being apprehensive that the case would not receive a thorough investigation.
