Nelson, Peleg, 1821
Petition in 1821 by James Nelson guardian of James Nelson and John Alexander guardian of Joseph Nelson & Polly Nelson who state that Peleg Nelson died intestate leaving the above named wards of your petitioners his heirs at law. The said Peleg left two negroes, Sampson & Joan together with other personal property consisting of bonds & notes. Petitioners pray that commissioners be appointed to divide the negroes and personal property among the heirs.
