March 10, 1767
In the name of God Amen I Jeremiah Normon of the county Tyrel County in the province of North Carolina being sik & weak but of sound mind and memory praise be to God for the same but calling to mind the uncertanty of this transitory life and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die do make and ordain this my last will and testament in manner and form following - - -
First and princapally I do give and bequeath my soul into the hands of almighty God who give it hoping through the marets of Jesus Christ my redeammer to ? at the gennerl resurrection ? glourais resurrection and full pardon and forgiveness for all my sins commited and my body to the earth from whence it was taken to be buread in a Christain like manner at the discretion of my executors heare after named and as for what worley it was pleased God to indue me with I dispose of as follows
Secondly after all my justs deapts are paid which are of right ? and stands justly indepted to any porson or porsons whatsoever: I give and bequeath my estate porsonal and reail I give and bequith to my well beloved son Joshua Normon all my part of land which I now live on Item I give and bequeth unto my well beloved son Thomas Normon all my land which I have and to hold in Suppernong to them said Joshua Normon and Thomas Normon and their hairs for ever
And lastly I do make and appoint constuate and ordain my loving wife Pislila Normon and jointly with hir my mother in law Jemima Long executerx of this my last will and testements whom I do appoint to pay all my depts and funral charges and I do hereby revoke all other and formor wills by me made and this only to be my last will and testement in testemoney whereof have I the said Jeremiah Normon have hereunto set my hand and seal this tenth day of March one thosand seven hundred and sixty seven

In the term of June anno dom 1767 personally appeared John Swain a witness to the within will & made oath on the
Holy Evangelist of almighty God that he see and heard Jeremiah Normon sign, seal, publish & declare the within
writing to be and contain his last will and testament and that he was of sound mind & memory & at the same time he see
Jemima Long & Kezia Long subscribe as witnesses and further saith not
