Tyrrell County Court of Pleas & Quarter Sessions
October Session 1799
Ordered that John Norman Senr. have administration on the estate of John Norman son of Elijah and give bond and security in the sum of 500 pounds John Alexander & William Spruill securitys and quallifyed according to law.
Ordered that John Norman Senr. administrator of John Norman deceased have leave to sell the perishable part of the estate of said deceased and make returns to next court.
January Session 1800
John Norman Senr. exhibits into court an inventory of the estate of John Norman son of Elijah Norman.
John Norman Senr. gives into court the account of sales of the estate of John Norman son of Elijah amounting to 305 pounds & 12 shillings.
April Session 1801
Henry Norman Esquire returned in court the audited accounts of John Norman Senr. with the estate of John Norman son of Elijah & find a ballance due the estate by the said Jno. Norman administrator of said deceased of 82 pounds, 19 shillings & 9 pence.
Ordered that John Norman Senr. be appointed guardian to Starkey Norman and hath given bond in the some five hundred pounds Capt. Asa Phelps and Capt. Jesse Alexander securities.
