April Session 1818

Ordered that Jno. Alexander Majr. have leave of administration on the estate of Nancy Pledger one of the legatees of Joseph Pledger Senr. deceased, and has entered into bond in the sum of fifteen hundred dollars Saml. Spruill & Henry Alexander Junr. securitys.

Ordered by the court, present the worshipfull Richard Wood, Enoch Hasell, Selby Patrick and Jno. Midyett that Jno. Alexander administrator of Nancy Pledger deceased sell at six months credit taking bond with good security negroe man George in order to make a division amongst the heirs of said Nancy Pledger deceased.

July Session 1818

Jno. Alexander administrator of Nancy Pledger deceased has returned into court the account of sales of said deceased filed.

Inventory of Nancy Pledger deceased was returned to court by Jno. Alexander the administrator & filed.

January Session 1820

Ordered that Henry Alexander Thomas Leigh & John Thoroughgood be appointed to audite & settle the account of John Alexander administrator of the estate of Nancy Pledger deceased & make report to the next term.

April Session 1820

The audited account of Nancy Pledger deceased was returned to court ballance due the estate $228.09 - account filed.

Bond dated 13 Apr 1818 in the amount of fifteen hundred dollars appointing John Alexander administrator of the estate of Nancy Pledger deceased, Samuel Spruill & Henry Alexander Junr. securities.

Account of sale of the property of Nancy Pledger on 23 May 1818. Includes one bed and furniture to James H. Leary for $5.00, one chest to Abram Pledger for $6.75 and 6/13 of negro boy George to Thomas Leigh for $201.25.

Transcriber's Notes:
The will of Joseph Pledger in 1807 lists Nancy Pledger as a daughter. In the division of slaves belonging to Joseph Pledger to his heirs, including Nancy Pledger, is a negroe named George.
