Scrieves, Thomas, 1838

Writ dated 1 Jul 1836 to arrest the body of Stephen Alcock and have him before a Justice of the peace to answer the complaint of Joseph Messenger as administrator of the estate of Thomas Scrieves deceased in a plea of debt due by account in the sum of $12.48. Judgement rendered for the plaintiff on 2 Jul 1836 by Thomson Liverman and defendant appeals with Elias Liverman as security.

Summons dated January 1837 for Jno. Alcock to be at court on the fourth Monday in April next to testify on behalf of Jos. Messenger in a case in which Jos. Messenger is plaintiff and Stephen Alcock is defendant.

There are several other documents dealing with recovery of debts by the administrator of Thomas Scrieves.
