Smith, Thomas, 1791

Execution dated 28 Apr 1791 and issued 25 May 1791 to the Sheriff of Beaufort County against the goods & chattels, lands & tenements of John Werden for 6 pounds, 1 shilling & 9 pence to pay court costs in the suit John Werden vs. Edmund Blount Sheriff Bail (?) of Thomas Smith deceased which was tried and the verdict was for the defendant.

Transcriber's Notes:

The above estate paper could be referring to a later Thomas Smith. There is record of an apparent later Thomas Smith who married Ann Oliver on 18 Dec 1786, John Caswell security.

This Thomas Smith is probably the son of William Smith who wrote his will in 1741/42.
