I, J. S. Snell, of the above County and State, being of sound mind and disposing memory. But recalling to mind the uncertainty of my earthly existence, do make and declare this my last Will and Testament, hearby revoking and declaring utterly void all wills and testaments by me heretofore made.

Item - It is my will and desire that my executor, hereinafter named, shall have my body buried in accordance with the wishes of my relatives. Pay the cost of my burial and any just debts that I may die owing out of the first money that comes into his hands belonging to my estate.

Item - I give and bequeath to my nephew Milton Sample five dollars, to be paid to him by my executor, in full of his share of my estate. I also give and bequeath to my nephew Henry Sample five dollars, to be paid to him by my executor, in full of his share of my estate.

Item - I give and bequeath that the rest and residue of my personal estate after the above mentioned legacies are paid, to my half brother, J. B. Snell and my brother, W. S. Snell, equal shares, one half to each.

Item - I give and devise to my nephew Bradford Snell, to him and his heirs forever, the tract of land in Columbia Township, Tyrrell County where I now reside. It being the land conveyed to me by W. C. Snell and wife by deed dated October 30, 1884 and recorded in Book 32 page 15 in Office of Register of Deeds of Tyrrell County.

Item - I give and devise to my nephew H. W. Snell, to him and his heirs forever, the tract of land situated in Columbia Township, Tyrrell County being conveyed to me by A. B. Snell, and wife. The deed dated December 24, 1884, and recorded in Book 32 page 130 in Office of Register of Deeds of Tyrrell County.

I hearby nominate and appoint Tilden W. Holloway my executor to this my last Will and Testament to execute the same and ever part thereof in accordance with the true intent and meaning of the same.

In testimony whereof, I have hereto set my hand and seal this 22nd day of August.

Signed, sealed, published and declared by the said J. S. Snell to be his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who at his request and in his presence do subscibe our names as witnessess thereto.

A paper purported to be the last Will and Testament of John S. Snell deceased is exhibited by T. W. Holloway the executioner therein mentioned and by the oath and examination of Jerry Brickhouse and Stephen Brickhouse the subscribing witnesses thereto.

It is therefore considered and adjudged by the Court that the said paperwriting and every part thereof is the last Will and Testament of John S. Snell, deceased. Let the said Will togeather with the Probate be recorded and filed.
