Tyrrell County Court of Pleas & Quarter Sessions
October Session 1786
Ordered that Ann Spence have leave of administration on the estate of Joseph Spence her late husband deceased and give bond 500 pounds Joseph Williams & Isaac Sawyer securities filed.
Also returned an inventory of the said deceased estate.
Ordered that Ann Spence have leave to sell the estate of Joseph Spence deceased or as much as will discharge the said deceased debts.
July Session 1788
Thomas Stewart and Hezekiah Spruill Esquires appointed to audit and inspect and settle the accounts of guardians administrators and administratrix accounts of the deceased estates which is accordingly done as per entrys following to wit - Ann Spence administratrix of Joseph Spence deceased and find a balance due the said / amount of her account allowed against said deceased estate 14 pounds, 4 shillings & 7 pence no account of sales.
