May Session 1772
Administration is granted to Sarah T. Spruill on the estate of Joshua Spruill her deceased husband and enters Benjamin Spruill and Joseph Spruill security in the sum of 100 pounds.
Sarah Spruill returned on oath an inventory of Joshua Spruill deceased.
On motion of Mr. Roger Ormand atty. for an order to sell the perishable part of the estate of Joshua Spruill deceased granted.
May Session 1775
Ordered that Benjamin Spruill be appointed guardian to Joshua Spruill & Elisha Spruill orphans of Joshua Spruill & gives securitys John Warrington & Joseph Spruill Esqrs. in the sum of one hundred pounds procl. money.
November Session 1775
Ordered that Benjamin Spruill sell the perishable part of the estate of Joshua Spruill and make return to next court.
April Session 1784
Joshua Spruill orphan of Joshua Spruill came into court and prayed that Sarah Jackson might be appointed his guardian ordered that the said Sarah Jackson be appointed his guardian on her giving bond and security in the sum of five hundred pounds {unreadable} accordingly by giving Nathan Bateman and John Swain Junr. and approved of by the court.
