February Session 1775
Ordered that Joseph Spruill orphan of Godfrey Spruill deceased be bound apprentice to Benjamin Spruill until he arrives at age to learn the trade of a planter he is now about fourteen years old.
Ordered that Ann Spruill orphan of Godfey Spruill deceased be bound apprentice to Jessy Lewis until he arrives at age to learn the trade of a spinster she is now about 12 years old.
July Session 1782
Joseph Spruill orphan of Godfrey Spruill appeared in open court & chose Steven Swain Esqr. guardian granted.
Steven Swain appeared in open court and gave in security Nathan Bateman & John Hassell in a bond of 50 pounds specie as gardain to Joseph Spruill orphan of Godfrey Spruill ordered that he take into his hands the estate of sd. orphan and make returns to next court.
