February Session 1779
Sarah Spruill appeared in open court and prayed administration of the estate of Joseph Spruill deceased granted and gave in security Samuel Spruill & Edmund Phelps in a bond of 500 pounds for the due performance of the same granted.
Appeared Sarah Spruill in open court and returned on oath the inventory of the estate of Joseph Spruill and ordered to be filed.
Appeared Sarah Spruill in open court & quallifyed administratrix to the estate of Joseph Spruill deceased - ordered that the Secretary have notis that letters issue.
Ordered that Sarah Spruill have leave to sell the perishable part of the estate of Joseph Spruill deceased & make returns to next court.
April Session 1779
Henry Norman Depy. Sheriff returns upon oath an account of sales of vthe estate of Joseph Spruill deceased ordered to be filed.
January Session 1782
Ordered that Sarah Spruill administratrix of Joseph Spruill deceased divide the estate agreeable to law and that Peter Wynne James Swain & Samuel Spruill or either two of them divide the same & make returns to next {court}.
