Tyrrell County Court of Pleas & Quarter Sessions
July Session 1814
It being shewn to the court by a certificate of B. Brick (?) that Shadarack Spruill is dead Thos. Blount in rite of his wife Rosina heir at law resigned the administration in favour of Peter Marriner ordered that administration on the estate of Shadarack Spruill be granted to said Peter Marriner on his giving bond in the sum of one thousand pounds Richd. Davis & John Marriner securities.
April Session 1817
Ordered that Richd. Davis Richard Wood and Jesse Alexander Esqrs. be appointed to aud ite & settle & divide the estate of Joseph Spruill deceased & the administrator of Shadrack Spruill & make return to next term.

Tyrrell County marriage bonds show the marriage of Thomas Blount to Rosanah Spruill on 29 Oct 1806, Peter Marner seurity.
The will of Joseph Spruill in 1804 shows that Shadrack Spruill and Rosanah Spruill were both his children.
