Bond dated 10 Jan 1819 in the amount of five hundred pounds appointing Nancy Spruill guardian to Franklin Spruill orphan of Sylva Spruill deceased, Jesse Spruill & Daniel Bateman securities.
Bond dated 10 Jan 1819 in the amount of five hundred pounds appointing Nancy Spruill guardian to James S. Spruill orphan of Sylva Spruill deceased, Jesse Spruill & Daniel Bateman securities.
Bond dated 30 Apr 1822 in the amount of five hundred pounds appointing Joshua Spruill guardian to James S. Spruill a minor orphan, Miles Spruill & Daniel Bateman securities.
Transcriber's Notes:
Court minutes concerning the estate of Selby Spruill starting in 1817 and estate papers starting in 1816 show that Franklin Spruill and James S. Spruill are the children of Selby Spruill and Nancy Spruill. Nancy remarried to Joshua Spruill in 1819. Although two of the above bonds say "orphans of Sylva Spruill" it is an obvious error and should say Selby Spruill. Court minutes cite these same bonds with Selby Spruill's name instead of Sylva Spruill.
