October Session 1793

Ordered that Capt. James Long have leave to administer on the estate of Luretta Steeley and give bond and security in the sum of 150 pounds.

Ordered that Capt. James Long administrator of the estate of Luretta Steeley deceased have leave to sell the perishable part of said estate and make return to next court.

January Session 1794

James Long returns in court an inventory of the estate of Luretta Steeley deceased on oath ordered filed.

Evin Sknner Deputy Sheriff exhibits in court the acount of sales of the estate of Luretta Steeley deceased to the amount of 96 pounds, 2 shillings & 3 pence filed.

Receipt dated 13 Oct 1793 from Rebecca Long for attending Luritta Stealey as midwife.

Administrator's account reflects charges for going to Edenton for medicine on 17 Oct 1793 and burial on 24 Oct 1793.

Note dated 28 Oct 1793 from Jeremiah Steeley & Fredrick Steeley agreeing to James Long son of Andrew to administer the estate of Lureta Steeley deceased for the benefit of her child.

Administrator's bond dated 30 Oct 1793 in the amount of one hundred pounds appointing James Long administrator of the estate of Lureta Steeley deceased with John Long Senr. & James Gilbert securities.

Receipt dated 5 Dec 1793 from Ann Guerkin for attending Mrs Luretta Steeley as midwife.

Receipt dated 19 Dec 1793 from Eliz. Hawkins for attending Miss Luritta Stealey as midwife.
