Trancriber's Notes:
Rachel Hassell married James Edwards in 1781 and James died by 1784. The estate papers of James Edwards then show that Rachel
remarried to Robert McAllister. Robert died at an unknown date and Rachel then married Samuel Jackson who died in 1807. Rachel then
remarried to John Swain in late 1807. The identity of Rachel is confirmed by the fact that James Hassell is cited as a brother in law
in Samuel Jackson's will in 1807 and James McCallister is cited as a nephew in James Hassell's will in 1823.
Tyrrel County marriage bonds show the marriage of Issibel McCalister to Amous Thurroughood on 23 Dec 1819, Joseph D. Dowdey security;
also Nancy McAllister to Oziah Rowton on 13 Jan 1816, James Swain security; also James McAllister to Sui Rowton on 5 Oct 1815,

Edwards on 19 Feb 1781, John Bateman & John Edwards securities.
